My Top Ten

(and this really isn't fair. I can't pick a definite favorite number of anything)

1. The Gambler by: Kenny Rogers (An oldy but a goody. This is my favorite childhood memory. Thanks mom and dad!)

2. Time In A Bottle by: Jim Croche (Can you tell I'm a bit sentimental?)

3.
Total Eclipse of the Heart by: Bonnie Tyler (My best friends EVER, Kate and Merrill, will forever be attached to this song. Riding in Merrill's car to Montgomery to go to dinner and a movie and singing this son at the top of our lungs, along with my off beat air drumming, is my favorite high school memory of all time.)

4. One by: U2 (What more is there to say?)

5. Crazy by: Aerosmith (Ahhhh, Aerosmith.....)

6. Baby Got Back by: Sir Mix A Lot (A favorite of Mr. Bean and I's to sing in the car. :) )

7. Hotel California by: The Eagles (A classic!)

8. Better Days by: Goo Goo Dolls (I love this song. So true, so true..)

9.
100 Years by: Five for Fighting (I love their ballads. Anybody heard the latest one? How is it? Excellent I'm sure)

10. One Moment More by: Mindy Smith (A beautiful song and perfect tribute for anyone who ever has to leave for anything (i.e. Heaven, War, Job, School, etc.)

Gateway to the West, Here I Come!

As I'm sure most of you know by now we are headed to ST. LOUIS in November. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is exactly what we wanted. We are so excited to be going there. It's only 2-2 1/2 hours away from all my IL family. It will be so nice to be so close again. And, perhaps I may get to even have an IL baby to add to the family while we are there. Who knows!?!?!?!

Baby bean and I arrived in the states Wednesday evening and not a day too soon. We weren't going to be flying through Great Britain but it would have caused major delays in Brussels had we left the following day. It does however look like I will be eating some baby formula before I am allowed to head back over the pond. Yuck!

We stayed in Illinois until Sunday and then made the long journey home to Alabama to visit the first set of Grandparents. Talk about some happy people. I swear if it were just me coming for a visit they would probably have just left me up there. :) Well, maybe not but we definitely know who is currently hold the position of Daddy/GrandDaddy's little girl. Baby Bean got to meet her first Uncle yesterday and will be meeting her other Uncle and Aunt tomorrow. She can't wait! We'll be here until Saturday and then head to North Carolina to visit the other grandparents and such.

Well, there isn't a lot to report. We have been on the run for the last 3 weeks and have about 3 weeks left. Mr. Bean's sister and brother-in-law will be flying back from New York with me on the 23rd to stay with us til the 6th of September. It's going to be a busy 3 weeks but I'll try to pop in and let everyone know what's going on.

A Small Update

So I know it's been AGES since I last posted and for that, I apologize. I'm sure you were all on the edge of your computer chairs (or in my case camping stools) waiting for this but here it is.

Aunt Bean arrived last Saturday, a day later than planned, and we have been running non stop ever since. We went to Brugge on Monday, Monschau on Tuesday, some castles on Thursday, Normandy Saturday and Sunday and Germany to a castle the other side of Cologne on Monday. Today we are relaxing and packing as I will be heading to the states with her tomorrow for a brief 2 week visit. For those of you wanting an audience with me or baby bean (Brothers Bean in particular) you have my dates but I can give them again if needed.

Well, it looks like my computer is going to be HORRIBLY slow today so I will post the pictures later. It may be a couple weeks til I post again as I am headed to the states but I will update again as soon as I can!
